April 29, 6pm: General Public Forum at Jackson Street School

The Pioneer Valley Guildhouse and Michael Bardsley, Northampton City Councilor-at-Large, are sponsoring a second General Public Forum as a follow up to a similar event held at the Florence civic center January, which had an attendance of 25 people. This second forum will take place at the Jackson Street School on Tuesday, April 29, from 6-9pm.

The General
Public forum is intended to be a community building event to encourage
communication and participation in the community and to promote awareness of the
various ongoing activities of Northampton residents, local organizations,
non-profits, and the city of Northampton.

We
encourage people to bring any topics for discussion at the event but the focus
of the evening will be on:

  • What connects you to Northampton?
  • How can we work together and combine our efforts?
  • Is there a need for a community center?

…The event is free and open to the
public. There will be food, snacks and beverages. There will also be an area designated for children with an adult supervisor at the event.

The Pioneer Valley Guildhouse is composed of Jesus Leyva (Northampton resident), Kenny Jean-Babets (Amherst resident) and Rafi Kurts (Amherst resident). For more information, call Jesus Leyva, 413-230-7747.
