Re: Upcoming Candidates Night and Meadows Cleanup

Just a reminder that we will sponsor our second Candidate Night on Monday, October 19 starting at 7 p.m. at Bridge Street School. We’ll be featuring discussions with the two candidates for Councilor from Ward 3, Angela Plassmann and Bob Reckman, and our two mayoral contenders, Michael Bardsley and Mary Clare Higgins. If you’d like to submit a question to be asked of the candidates, you have until noon on Monday to do so. Please send questions, along with your phone number and office it’s to be directed to, to Jerry Budgar at: gbudgar@rcn.com We had nearly 100 people show up for our first Candidate Night last Wednesday and we’re expecting a bigger crowd this time.
We also want to remind everyone that our Ward 3 Association annual Meadows Cleanup will be held next Sunday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll gather at 10 a.m. at the Northampton Airport parking lot and be dispersed to sites in the Meadows where the slobs have dumped stuff that has to be removed. We all want to protect this wonderful part of our city and help the farmers and landowners maintain the land in good condition, so please join us in this very worthwhile community effort.
