Here is a blip.tv video of a presentation of the Florence Fields Recreational Facility made to the Northampton City Council on 7/8/10. Five soccer fields and two baseball diamonds are planned for a portion of the Allard Farm in Florence. Northampton planning director Wayne Feiden and Berkshire Design Group principal Peter Wells made the presentation. This video is 36 minutes long and was recorded by Adam Cohen. See a PDF of the presentation handout and a PDF of the Master Plan (also pictured below).

That design calls for two baseball diamonds and five multipurpose fields, to be used primarily for soccer, on 24 acres north of Meadow Street at the southwest corner of the Allard Farm…
The recreation complex would be surrounded by trees, with a cedar fence along the northern boundary to separate the playing fields from the 116 acres of farmland that would take up most of the rest of the current Bean and Allard farms…
The balance of the land, about 44 acres along the Mill River, would be preserved for conservation purposes.
